Art Connect is delighted to announce the "Landscape in Memory" online art competition for 2024. This competition is open to artists and photographers aged 16 and older from across the globe. Participants are encouraged to submit original visual artworks that delve into the theme "Landscape in Memory," reflecting on how personal and collective memories are intertwined with the landscapes that have influenced them. We invite all forms of visual art, excluding AI-generated works. Entry is free, and the competition boasts significant cash prizes, with $500 for the first-place winner, $300 for the second-place winner, and $150 for the third-place winner. Selected winners will also have the opportunity to participate in a free in-person exhibition in the Los Angeles area, enhancing their exposure and engagement with the art community.

Terms and Conditions for Participation in the 'Landscape in Memory' Art Competition

By submitting the entry form, you agree to the following conditions for participating in this competition:

  • Copyright:

    • Ownership and Rights: The artists retain all copyrights of their artworks. By submitting an image to any contest organized by Art Connect, artists affirm that their works are original and do not infringe on any third-party copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights, or other legally protected rights.

    • Dispute Resolution: In case of a copyright dispute, Art Connect and its cooperating organizations reserve the right to require artists to provide documents proving the copyrights of the artworks. Disputed artworks may be suspended from the competition until the dispute is resolved. If the artist successfully proves their rights, their artwork will be reinstated in the competition.

  • Right to Use:

    • Non-Commercial Use: Upon submission, artists authorize Art Connect and its cooperating organizations to use the artworks for marketing, promotion, displaying in the competition, public voting, exhibition, and printing of an art-book related to the event.

    • Commercial Use: Any commercial use beyond the above scope will be subject to separate negotiations between Art Connect and the artist to determine the conditions and compensations. Artists will be consulted to ensure their rights and interests are respected.

  • Display and Promotion:

    • Artwork Labeling: Art Connect and its cooperating organizations commit to clearly label the name of the artist and the title of artworks in all displays and promotions. Whenever possible, artist bios or statements provided during submission will also be included to enhance the context and engagement for viewers.

  • Privacy and Data Protection:

    • Commitment to Security: Art Connect and its cooperating organizations are committed to protecting the personal information and privacy of participating artists. All personal data collected will be used solely for competition-related purposes. We employ robust security measures, such as encryption and secure server hosting, to prevent unauthorized access and data leakage.
